Desde un puesto de Soporte a desarrollador, Sumit Singh<\/a> comparte su experiencia de crecimiento profesional en OnTheGoSystems, demostrando las oportunidades que surgen al asumir nuevos retos.<\/p>\n\n

Soy originario de Agra, India, donde crec\u00ed y m\u00e1s tarde obtuve mi licenciatura en inform\u00e1tica. He vivido en diferentes partes del pa\u00eds durante a\u00f1os, pero gracias a OTGS, hoy en d\u00eda trabajo desde casa y lugares cercanos. <\/p>\n\n

Me encanta que mi trabajo se alinee con mis intereses, pero tambi\u00e9n disfruto de las pel\u00edculas y los programas de televisi\u00f3n, de las diferentes cocinas y de pasar tiempo con familiares y amigos.<\/p>\n

\u00bfCu\u00e1ndo empezaste a trabajar en OTGS y cu\u00e1l era tu puesto exacto?<\/h3>\n\n

Empec\u00e9 en 2015 como asistente de primer nivel en el equipo de Soporte de WPML, centr\u00e1ndome en la resoluci\u00f3n de problemas comunes. Despu\u00e9s de un par de meses, me trasladaron al segundo nivel (que se ocupa de problemas m\u00e1s complejos o t\u00e9cnicos), donde trabaj\u00e9 durante casi 9 a\u00f1os. ;)<\/p>\n\n

Como asistente de segundo nivel, interactuaba frecuentemente con clientes y desarrolladores al mismo tiempo, lo que significaba que aprend\u00eda mucho por el camino. Aparte de realizar tareas de Soporte durante estos a\u00f1os, contribu\u00ed a otras cosas, como la documentaci\u00f3n, la formaci\u00f3n, el desarrollo y las pruebas. <\/p>\n\n

\u00bfCu\u00e1l es tu puesto actual y c\u00f3mo has llegado a \u00e9l?<\/h3>\n\n

Actualmente trabajo como desarrollador en el equipo de desarrollo de WPML. Soy responsable de corregir errores y trabajar en nuevas funciones para WPML. Disfruto con lo que hago. Aqu\u00ed seguimos las mejores pr\u00e1cticas de desarrollo y siempre estoy aprendiendo algo nuevo, lo que me mantiene motivado cada d\u00eda. <\/p>\n\n

Antes de pasar a este puesto, ten\u00eda curiosidad por aprender nuevas tecnolog\u00edas. Pierre Sylvestre<\/a>, el jefe del equipo de compatibilidad, y David Garc\u00eda Watkins<\/a>, desarrollador del equipo de compatibilidad, me evaluaron y me sugirieron \u00e1reas de mejora. Mi tiempo en Soporte y mi contribuci\u00f3n activa a WordPress me ayudaron a mejorar mis habilidades para este puesto. <\/p>\n\n

Pero no fue solo gracias a mis habilidades. Mis compa\u00f1eros de equipo Laura<\/a>, Amit<\/a> e Ivan<\/a> me ayudaron a conseguir esta oportunidad. <\/p>\n
