At OTGS, we are constantly pushing the boundaries of technology to deliver exceptional translation and localization tools. We are looking for a Senior Developer with strong problem-solving abilities, self-management skills, and a curious mindset to join our team.

What strong skills we’re looking for in our developer 

  • Proficiency in PHP, JS,
  • Expertise in MySQL,
  • Proficiency in writing and applying automated tests with PHPUnit,
  • Experience in writing End to End tests,
  • AWS experience,
  • Proficiency in version control with Git,
  • A strong foundation in design patterns, databases, and networking.

Nice-to-have skills 

  • Experience with WordPress, 
  • CI configuration/management,
  • Experience with Codeception,
  • Experience with AWS CloudWatch,
  • Software architecture design,
  • Functional programming. 

What you will do

  • Development: Own tickets from start to finish, write scalable, maintainable code, and ensure proper test coverage.
  • Monitoring: Use CloudWatch to monitor system health, improve dashboards, and detect issues early.
  • Stakeholder Support: Provide technical assistance to departments like Finance and Support during your monitoring shift.

Our Hiring Process

You’ll have 3-4 interviews that take between 30 to 90 minutes each. You’ll be talking with our HR, the team leader and members of the team you’re interviewing for.

For some roles, we’ll also ask for an assignment. If this assignment requires significant time, we’ll pay for your time doing it.

In these interviews, we know that you’re interviewing us, like we’re interviewing you. We welcome your questions and will answer them gladly.

At OnTheGoSystems, we keep things simple and straightforward. In most cases, our interview process is made up of three parts:

1. The Chat with the Recruiter

60 mins

During this informal video call, we’ll tell you more about the job and OnTheGoSystems (OTGS), and you can ask us anything you want.

2. The Technical Deep Dive

60-90 mins

This video call has a technical focus and gives you the opportunity to speak to potential teammates and see how you can contribute to the team. You can expect detailed questions about your experience and qualifications, and you may be asked to do a live assignment, depending on the position.

3. The Check-In with the HR Manager

30 mins

During the quick video call with our HR Manager, we’ll ensure that everyone is on the same page regarding the position you’re applying for. You can ask questions and clarify any doubts you may have. We’ll also cover any administrative details necessary to extend a final offer that meets your needs and expectations.
