Change of Scenery: How Remote Work Supports Prosenjit’s Personal Growth

March 30, 2026

Prosenjit Barman, a WPML developer at OTGS, relocated to Dhaka, Bangladesh, to find opportunities for growth and networking. Remote work helped him do that — without skipping a beat at his job.

Prosenjit’s OTGS Journey Has Always Been About Growth

Since joining OTGS, Prosenjit has grown well beyond the technical aspect of his role, gaining confidence, ownership, and problem-solving skills.

Working as part of a distributed team has made him communicate more thoughtfully and manage time better — and has brought him much needed work-life balance.

Most importantly, working remotely allowed him to actively seek more professional and personal growth.

Remote Work Opens The Road To New Experiences

What Prosenjit values most about working at OTGS is the flexibility, trust, and global collaboration. The culture feels supportive, connected, and genuinely human.

But it’s not just about working smoothly when it’s business as usual — it’s also about maintaining all these benefits when making big life decisions.

One of the best parts of remote work is that, even after relocating, my workflow stayed smooth and uninterrupted. When your office lives in the cloud, you have the freedom to work from anywhere without losing momentum.

Two Aspects of Dhaka: High Energy And Calm

Prosenjit moved to Dhaka to step outside his comfort zone. As the capital of Bangladesh, Dhaka is filled with major tech events, communities, and people. That’s where real growth happens.

And, by working remotely, Prosenjit can benefit from the energy of a big city without sacrificing his peace and focus.

Dhaka gives me access to growth opportunities, while remote work gives me the flexibility to stay focused and consistent in my day-to-day work. I was lucky to find a place with a calm, nature-friendly environment, which helps me stay mindful, focused, and enjoy my work even more. Plus, not having to commute every day saves a lot of time and energy.

Future Destinations

Dhaka isn’t the end of the road. Prosenjit has more destinations in mind for the future — both in Banglandesh and internationally.

Within Bangladesh, Sylhet is one place I’d love to work from for a while — or a quiet mountain town. I’d also love to experience working from another country someday. Moving to a new city has been a positive change, and I’m excited about what’s ahead.
