OnTheGoSystems is building an AI system that will transform how people translate content. We’re looking for an Arabic Language Expert to join our engineering team and directly contribute to the development of AI-powered translation software used by millions worldwide.

This is not a traditional translation role. Your focus will be on shaping, testing, and improving AI, ensuring our system produces accurate, natural, and reliable Arabic translations.

Your Role

As a Language Expert, you’ll work at the intersection of linguistics and technology. 

Your main tasks will include:

  • Evaluate AI output: Review machine translations for software and websites, find mistakes, and trace their root causes.
  • Classify and solve issues: Look for recurring translation problems and propose linguistic or technical solutions.
  • Develop rules and fixes: Create linguistic rules and collaborate with developers on hard-coded fixes.
  • Improve AI models: Collaborate with engineers to refine AI code and contribute to new custom features.
  • Test improvements: Run tests on translation quality and assess the impact of technical changes.

What We’re Looking For

  • Native Arabic speaker, fluent in English (other languages are a plus).
  • Genuine interest in AI and its role in translation. You already use AI tools in your daily work or are eager to learn and shape them.
  • Professional experience in product development, software, or AI/linguistic technologies.
  • Strong attention to detail with a focus on accuracy and consistency.
  • A collaborative mindset and curiosity to work closely with developers.

Our Hiring Process

You’ll have 3-4 interviews that take between 30 to 90 minutes each. You’ll be talking with our HR, the team leader and members of the team you’re interviewing for.

For some roles, we’ll also ask for an assignment. If this assignment requires significant time, we’ll pay for your time doing it.

In these interviews, we know that you’re interviewing us, like we’re interviewing you. We welcome your questions and will answer them gladly.

At OnTheGoSystems, we keep things simple and straightforward. In most cases, our interview process is made up of three parts:

1. The Chat with the Recruiter

60 mins

During this informal video call, we’ll tell you more about the job and OnTheGoSystems (OTGS), and you can ask us anything you want.

2. The Technical Deep Dive

60-90 mins

This video call has a technical focus and gives you the opportunity to speak to potential teammates and see how you can contribute to the team. You can expect detailed questions about your experience and qualifications, and you may be asked to do a live assignment, depending on the position.

3. The Check-In with the HR Manager

30 mins

During the quick video call with our HR Manager, we’ll ensure that everyone is on the same page regarding the position you’re applying for. You can ask questions and clarify any doubts you may have. We’ll also cover any administrative details necessary to extend a final offer that meets your needs and expectations.
