November was challenging as we raced to prepare the update for WordPress 6.1. We also finished many great projects with our partners.
WordPress 6.1 went out on November 2nd and we were ready for it with WPML 4.5.13.
The problem was that WordPress 6.1 introduced a breaking change. This caused sites with automatic WordPress updates to break.
We successfully navigated this thanks to extra effort from our support.
On the positive side, this also reminded clients why having WPML updated is so critical.
In November, we launched our compatibility campaign. It highlights the Best Email Marketing & Lead Generation Tools for Multilingual Sites.
This includes a new category in our plugin directory. It features recommended items like HubSpot, OptinMonster, and Bloom.
Additionally, MakeWebBetter confirmed compatibility with MWB HubSpot for WooCommerce. This is great news for HubSpot users. They can now synchronize multi-currency data from WooCommerce Multilingual to their HubSpot CRM account.
We continued our work with ThimPress, the makers of LearnPress LMS and Eduma theme. Both now have certified compatibility with WPML. We were also happy to grant these 2 items our recommended status.
LearnPress is now our LMS of choice since it works well with WPML’s Advanced Translation Editor. At the same time, the Eduma theme pairs perfectly with this LMS and is also multilingual-ready.
Our friends at Visual Composer created a nice YouTube video. It explains why WPML is their multilingual plugin of choice.
MarketPress published a blog post geared toward their German audience. It shows the benefits of using WPML with their German Market plugin.
WP Founders posted an interview with our founder, Amir Helzer.
WP Buffs posted a detailed guide for building multilingual sites.
HubSpot included Toolset in their 5 Best Custom Post Type Plugins for WordPress post.
