Vasilis, can you tell us about yourself?

Originally from Greece, I moved to the Netherlands for my Master’s in Marketing Management and ended up staying for six amazing years. During that time, I worked in Rotterdam and The Hague. I gained valuable experience and fell in love with the culture, green spaces, and vibrant lifestyle.

Now, I’m focused on multi-channel marketing strategies for OTGS. I’m passionate about adding value and always looking for innovative ways to drive growth.

Outside of work, I’m a huge Formula 1 nerd, a nature lover, and someone who enjoys movies, entrepreneurship, and trading.

If I had to describe myself in one sentence, I’d say I’m a marketing enthusiast who loves blending creativity and strategy to make things happen.

What do you enjoy most about working remotely at OTGS?

Working at OnTheGoSystems (OTGS) has been a transformative experience. The flexibility of remote work has allowed me to strike the perfect balance between productivity and personal well-being. Not having to spend hours commuting every day has given me back precious time to focus on what truly matters.

One of the biggest benefits for me is the freedom to choose where I live and work. Before, freelancing required me to stay close to noisy and busy city centers. Now, I can now opt for a quiet area that provides the calm and setup I need to stay focused and inspired. I love how remote work aligns with my lifestyle. I can explore new places and stay fully engaged with my responsibilities.

Can you tell us about your decision to work remotely from Belgium for a month?

This October, I had the unique opportunity to stay at a friend’s house in Belgium for the entire month while he was collaborating with the University of Vienna.

Just like the Netherlands, I’ve always loved Belgium for their culture, green spaces, and overall quality of life, so the decision was easy. My friend is a professor, and his home office in a quiet neighborhood was the perfect setup for remote work—calm, inspiring, and productivity-enhancing.

Beyond work, I had wonderful reunions with friends from the Netherlands who visited me on weekends. It was the perfect balance of work and fun.

Any other places you plan to work from?

Remote work has opened up a world of possibilities for me. Apart from traveling within Greece, I’m planning to visit Spain and Hungary soon. I’m hoping to combine one of these trips with attending a Formula 1 race—a childhood dream of mine. These trips are still in the planning stages, but I’m already excited about exploring new cultures and places.

What would you say to someone considering a remote role at OTGS?

Since joining OTGS, remote work has made it easy to pursue both my goals and passions. Professionally, I’ve been able to focus on growth-driven marketing strategies without the limits of a traditional office. Personally, the flexibility has helped me reconnect with friends and family, explore new places, and live a more balanced life.

OTGS truly embraces a remote-first culture, and working from Belgium this past month has been a rewarding experience. I’m thankful for the opportunities remote work continues to bring.
