February 24, 2017

We are starting this year full of energy and with new WordCamps to attend. That’s why we want to share with you news about our next WordCamps organisers and speakers from all over the world.

WordCamp Pune

Just a couple of weeks after the start of 2017, we attended WordCamp Pune 2017 where Harshad Mane gave a talk in Marathi about WordPress compatibility and cultivating community development. He was joined by Bigul Malayi who didn’t miss the opportunity to offer his help as a volunteer.

As Bigul says:

“We had a great event. WordCamp Pune was excellent. It had four tracks with well-experienced speakers and 400+ participants. I was a volunteer group leader in charge of speakers and session halls. It afforded a new experience, and it will help me in organizing WordCamp Kochi.”

Just a couple of weeks later, Bigul Malayi was in action again again in WordCamp Udaipur. This time he was talking about WordPress Localization and Translation :

“… I attended my 10th WordCamp, WC Udaipur. It was a great reunion of 250+ WordPress enthusiasts from all over India. It was the first WordCamp held in Udaipur. The organizing team was great. In brief, it was one of the best WordCamps ever in India. There were two tracks, developers and community/blogging.”

Bigul was joined by Harshad Mane, who was speaking about Caching for WordPress, and according to him:

“The theme for WordCamp Kochi was “Go Green”, Environment Friendly WordCamp, which I got to know later. The idea was proposed by the lead organizer Bigul Malayi,

The organizing team made sure to minimize the prominent use of Plastic Materials in all forms.

Ammu and Appu, the Keralite version of Wapuu won everybody’s hearts. If I’m not wrong, I guess this will be the first WordCamp to introduce the Wapuu “couple” in a WordCamp.”

This is her presentation:

I’m pretty sure we will see her soon speaking at a WordCamp.
